The Omron Sentech STC‑MBS1242POE is a powerful 12 MP monochrome GigE Vision area scan camera featuring PoE (Power over Ethernet) for streamlined, plug-and-play deployment. Its SONY IMX226 CMOS sensor delivers a high-resolution output of 4,000 × 3,000 pixels with a compact 1.85 µm pixel size, perfect for high-precision industrial imaging and inspection tasks. 

This model supports both Power over Ethernet (IEEE 802.3af Class 2) and optional external power (10.8–26.4 VDC), offering flexible installation options while maintaining low power consumption (≤4.1 W via PoE). The camera delivers up to 9.2 frames per second (Mono 8-bit), balancing high-resolution imaging with dependable throughput. 

Encased in a compact 29 × 29 × 53 mm aluminum housing (~65 g) and featuring a C-mount lens interface, this camera is built to excel in space-efficient setups.  Its mechanical design includes a reliable RJ‑45 data port and Hirose-compatible power connector, ensuring robust and consistent operation.
